A Member must be a physician who is licensed to practice medicine in the United States who is currently enrolled in or has completed an accredited allergy/immunology training program. Members have all the privileges of Fellows except the right to vote or hold office.
A Fellow will have been a Member for at least two years and shall be a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent who has pursued the special study of allergy and clinical immunology for the prescribed period as a full-time Resident or Fellow in training program as recognized by the American Medical Advisory Board of Medical Specialties (or its equivalent) and has successfully obtained board certification. Fellows have the right to vote and hold office.
Affiliate Members are those that are not physicians or equivalent nor Doctors of Philosophy but who are interested in Allergy and/or Clinical Immunology. A residency requirement may be required if deemed advisable by the Executive Committee. Affiliate Members do not have the right to vote or hold office.
